Canine Good Citizen

The AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification program focuses on essential skills for polite behavior in public, including courteous leash walking, greeting other dogs appropriately, and not jumping on people. In this class, we will prepare you for the various tests required, outlining what is acceptable according to AKC guidelines and providing handling assistance. Additionally, we offer pre-testing to identify areas for improvement before the official test date. This training is designed to help you and your dog reach your full potential together. The CGC title is a prerequisite for many therapy dog certifications and serves as an excellent introduction to advanced dog sports and activities.

This class is available for those wanting to test for their CGC and is held annually in the spring.
