Which vaccinations are required for my dog to come to Camp K Nine?
To ensure the health and safety of our guests at Camp K Nine, we maintain strict vaccination and screening requirements for all dogs participating in our services. It is essential that dogs have the following vaccinations and screenings up to date:
- Distemper/Parvo or proof of titers
- Rabies vaccination for dogs over four months of age
- Annual Bordetella vaccine
- Annual Canine Influenza Virus (CIV) Vaccine
- Annual Fecal test with a negative result
What is the Bordatella Vaccination for and why does my dog need it?
The Bordetella vaccination serves to safeguard against upper respiratory canine cough, including Tracheobronchitis, often referred to as kennel cough. It is important to note that while this vaccination is a preventive measure, it is not guaranteed to be 100% effective, similar to other vaccinations. This information is intended to help protect your dog from the risk of contracting kennel cough.
What if my dog requires medication?
We will gladly administer your dog’s medications at no additional charge. Please make sure you bring enough medications for your dog’s entire stay.
What if my dog is not spayed/neutered?
Intact dogs (not spayed/neutered) are welcome at Camp K Nine, except for females in heat. Dogs over 7 months of age will not participate in group play but will engage in our Personal Play program instead.
What do I need to bring with my dog for boarding?
As you prepare for your dog’s upcoming stay at Camp K-Nine, we want to ensure that the experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible for both you and your beloved pet. To facilitate a seamless check-in process, please carefully review the following guidelines:
- Paperwork: Kindly ensure that all necessary paperwork is duly filled out and submitted prior to your dog’s arrival. This includes any forms that we may have provided for you to detail your pet’s care requirements.
- Vaccination Records: It is essential to provide a current vaccination record for your dog. This record must be up to date and reflect all vaccinations as required by our camp’s policies.
- Dog Food: We request that you bring sufficient food for the duration of your dog’s stay. If it is convenient, we recommend pre-bagging the food by day to facilitate mealtime. Alternatively, you may bring a larger bag of food. Please include clear feeding instructions on the front of the bag, specifying the amount (e.g., 5 cups per day) and any other pertinent details regarding your dog’s dietary needs.
- Bedding and Toys: While Camp K-Nine supplies all necessary items for a comfortable stay, including bowls and a clean, cozy environment, you are welcome to bring a blanket or a soft bed for additional comfort. You may also choose to bring one toy for your dog to enjoy during their stay.
Please note, it is not necessary to bring any other items, as we strive to provide everything your dog may need for a happy and healthy visit.
What if my dog gets sick?
We are committed to making every effort to reach out to your veterinarian for the treatment of your dog. In the event that your veterinarian is unavailable, we will engage a veterinarian selected by us for your dog’s treatment. Please be aware that you are responsible for covering all veterinary fees for your dog, even during their stay with us, should they require medical attention.
What if my dog won’t eat?
Do you give my dog a bath before I come to pick up?
Yes, we do offer a Bubble Bath service for an additional charge.
Are the dogs left alone when playing?
The dogs are constantly supervised. Inappropriate play is stopped and good behavior is rewarded. The staff keeps the dogs safe, clean and well cared for.
Can my dog get minor cuts or abrasions?
During Play at Camp K Nine, dogs engage in vigorous activities and playful wrestling, While we ensure a safe environment with trained supervisors overseeing every group at all times, it is important to note that minor cuts or scrapes can occasionally occur. Despite our stringent policies against aggressive behavior, the use of teeth and nails in playful interactions can lead to such minor injuries. Our team remains vigilant in monitoring your dog’s behavior, but it is possible for these small incidents to go unnoticed. Although rare, there may be instances of more moderate injuries due to rough play. Rest assured, your dog’s safety and well-being are our top priorities.
What if I forget to pickup my dog?
In the event of a missed pick-up, every attempt will be made to get in touch with you. In the event we cannot connect with you, you will be charged accordingly. Camp K Nine will continue to provide food and care for your dog . Please be advised that an additional charge will apply for the overnight stay. We appreciate your understanding and continued trust in Camp K Nine.

Luis is an incredible dog trainer. I’ve been taking private classes and recently graduated into group classes. I’ve learned how to better communicate with my dog and continue to see improvements! Luis works with clients based on needs, at their homes or at his business location. His outcomes speak for themselves. Whether you’re involved in your dog’s training or you want a hands off option where he does it for you, Luis can handle it all.![]()

I highly recommend Camp K Nine! Luis is an incredibly knowledgeable and patient trainer who truly cares about the dogs and their owners. My dog, Lainey, and I started with private lessons and now we go to the group training classes as well. I've seen such an amazing difference in her confidence, behavior, and obedience. I’m so happy with the progress she's made, and I can't thank Luis enough. If you're looking for a great trainer, Camp K Nine is the place to go!![]()

"Excellent information and very insightful training. We learned so much and only wish we had taken the pre-puppy class before bringing our puppy home. Highly recommend!"![]()

I adopted my adult dog know he would need a lot of love, patience, and work. He came from a bad background, having reactivity to new people and other dogs. I was able to make good, steady progress with his reactivity towards new people over the years. However, his reactivity towards other dogs has been extremely challenging and persistent, and I had reached a plateau with his progress, even after working with other trainers. I am thrilled with the results I am seeing from working with Luis! We’ve had three sessions, and in this short time, his barking and lurching at other dogs has greatly reduced and he also calms quickly now. I feel hopeful for the first time that it may be possible to eliminate this behavior with consistent work. I can’t recommend Luis enough to anyone navigating behavior issues with their dog. I just wish I had found him sooner!![]()

Luis has brought my level of satisfaction in having a dog up into the stratosphere. If you love your unruly puppy dog like I did, and then you work with Luis, the level of bonding and confidence that both you and your dog gain will have you flying high. I love that I’m no longer being pulled around by my dog. Now He happily marches alongside me. And even when he’s having his free time to sniff and play he’s much more well behaved just of his own free will. Luis’s method gets the dog to choose for itself and make the right choice. My dog is much more happy and confident and my life is so much easier. Just be warned it takes a lot of dedication to do his training methods. And if you have spoiling tendencies like I do, Luis does not have much patience for that. He wants the dog to get your messages clearly because that’s what’s easiest on the dog. The training is mostly for the dog owner so be prepared to put in the work. I have boarded and trained with Luis for a long time and I know for certain he genuinely cares so much for these dogs.![]()
